Helpful UI text in Microsoft Word 2004 Mac:

When you click this button, Word resets the internal Ignore All list so that Word will check all words for which you previously clicked Ignore All.

That’s the help text for the “Recheck Document” button in the Spelling and Grammar options window. A seemingly self-explanatory button whose functionality I now doubt thanks to the aforementioned ‘explanation’.

(To see it for yourself, launch Word 2004, go to the “Tools” menu, choose “Spelling and Grammar…”, click the “Options…” button, then hover over the “Recheck Document” button; the help text appears in the area below the button.)
