I was born on this day, thirty-six years ago – which means that, traditionally, I’ve already had about half of my life.
Whether that turns out to be true or not, this seems like a milestone worthy of briefly marking. It certainly makes me pause and reflect.
In another sense, my current life has barely begun – I’m a year or so into a new career, and the future is entirely uncertain. I also feel young, and energised, and hopeful. No matter what else comes to pass, that’s a rare gift.
I’m so grateful to my wife Lauren for her love, companionship, and support over the last decade. She truly is the centre of my life. I’m thankful for her every day. My greatest wish is to have many more years by her side.
I’d also like to thank you, dear reader, for being here to read my words. Words unread barely even exist. I’ll have more for you soon, as always.
If you’d like to lend a hand with this journey of mine, becoming a site member truly helps. Likewise, if you read and enjoyed Raw Materials, writing a review on Amazon makes a real difference. Not so much to ask, I hope.
Well, I won’t take up any more of your time. We both have work to do, I’m sure, and while there’s still plenty of time, it goes by quickly.
Here’s to my second life. Thank you for reading.
