Keeping old software available

development 1 min read

I've always followed a policy of never removing downloads from my site, no matter how old they've
become. With a few exceptions, I only offer the newest version of a piece of software, but
I've never before removed an item as a whole.

Lately I've been wondering about getting rid of all of the most
ancient stuff from the Scotland Software site.
It's mostly thoroughly obsolete; lots of daft little REALbasic apps, that kind of thing. I'm just still unsure whether
to go ahead and remove it. The thing is, if I get rid of it, I want to do so completely - I don't even want to send
people stuff via email if they request it.

Any thoughts?
