Lately, when it's getting into the evening and I close my eyes for a moment, I see a
scene in front of me. It's a road at night, somewhere perhaps in the outskirts of the
city. From my perspective, it seems as if I'm standing in the middle of the road, which
is wet from some earlier rainfall (it's not raining at the time).
The orange streetlamps are stretching away into the distance, and there's no-one around
anywhere, nor are there any cars in sight.
The most noticeable thing is that there are traffic lights in front of me; two sets of
them; and they're at red. In fact, the lights are blazing red.
Now, does that simply mean that I'm tired and I've been doing too much driving at night,
or is there a deeper meaning? That, as they say, is the question.
