As you can see (unless you’re reading this via a feed), I’ve added a tags system to the blog using Jerome’s Keywords Plugin for WordPress. Tags for a post now show up beside the other metadata, and on all relevant pages (permalinks, search results, and archive pages).
You can click on a tag to view a list of all posts to which that tag has been applied, and you can view a tags cosmos and a list of top tags at my new Tags page (also linked from the sidebar). Pages now have a META-keywords tag in the header with appropriate content, and my Atom feeds now also include the appropriate keywords. The only thing left to do is go back and retrospectively apply tags to existing posts, which I’ll do as time permits.
In other news, work is going well. Can’t talk about my project, but I’ve been given free reign to design the system, choose my implementation technologies, and basically just get on with it. Nice to have that level of latitude, to really create something. I’ve also managed to convince Iain to buy a copy of Lego Star Wars, so no doubt he’ll be using the shazzam-force throughout his upcoming week off.
No new Cocoa progress in the last couple of days due to work, but I shall get back into the icon app as soon as I can. I’ve got some source code to post soon too, so keep an eye out for that. Final note: if you’re going to be in the city this Friday, drop by the QM in the evening (probably 8pm onwards), since we’re having a big gathering for Lauren’s birthday. Phone or txt me if you need to be signed in, and I’ll send someone down.
Keep it utterly real, and remember to always call me “Captain”.
