This page lists the tools I use to get things done.
The site is built and published with Jekyll. Every article (and indeed almost everything I write) is written in Markdown. My host is Linode.
I design, tweak, and manage the site with Coda. All graphics work is done in Affinity Photo on the iPad.
Writing and editing
I write and edit books, articles, newsletters, and everything else in Ulysses on the iPad.
For any scripting, programming, automation, and miscellaneous text-related tasks, I use Editorial.
I outline and plan books in OmniOutliner, I sketch and think via GoodNotes with an Apple Pencil, and I manage tasks and projects in Things.
My various newsletters are managed and distributed with MailChimp. My ecommerce provider is Memberful with Stripe.
I have an iPhone (currently a 7), and a Fitbit Alta HR. My computer is a 10.5” iPad Pro. When I’m at my desk (sitting on a Herman Miller Aeron), I use an external Apple Magic Keyboard.
